APPLY FOR THE GO FOR YOURS FUND

The Go for Yours Fund is available to artists, entrepreneurs, and trailblazers in need of financial assistance to achieve their dreams. Award recipients are between the ages of 13-21 and have modeled a commitment toward reaching their goals.

Examples of financial support include: 

  • Business start-up costs
  • Film/TV project
  • Extracurricular Fees 
  • College tuition

Currently, applications for the Go for Yours Fund is closed. You are still welcome to apply at any time. When funds are available, your application will be considered.

Thank you for taking the time to apply to the second round of the Go for Yours Fund. We are seeking a young entrepreneurs between the ages of 13 and 21 who is fearlessly going after their dreams. Recipients are selected 1-2 times per year. Please fill out this application to be considered for financial assistance.

2020 RECIPIENTS OF THE GO FOR YOURS FUND

Jhanae Harris (Dream Experience Participant) 

Jhanae Harris is a 21-year-old singer, songwriter, and MC from Madison, Wisconsin. She currently attends Jackson State University. Most refer to her by her childhood nickname“Nae.” Over the years, Harris has modeled for American Girl Doll. She made a cameo appearance in the movie A Chance in the World, which is based on the true story of Steve Pemberton and his journey in the foster care system. Jhanae also had the opportunity to perform for different platforms, such as Summerfest, and on tours, such as High School Nation Tour. Her goal is to inspire girls around the world who have been labeled as “weird,”“awkward,” or “not normal” to just be themselves. She believes being different makes you unique. Jhanae challenges the norms of today’s music and tries to explore new ideas to bring to the table.

Kezia Kinchin (Dream Experience Participant)

Kezia is a 20-year-old aspiring entertainer from Dallas, Texas,who puts God first, then family. Her passions are singing, acting, and dancing. She began dancing very late, so there were times when she felt farbehind amongst her fellow dancers since they’dgotten a lot more training than she had. Still, Kezia didn’t let this get in the way of her career and passion to be the best she can be. She believes it doesn’t matter how you start; it’s how you get back up and reach the finish line! Kezia is a dance major at AMDA(American Musical and Dramatic Academy) in Los Angeles, California. After graduation, she plans on pursuing her dream careersof becoming a professional dancer, creative director, model, actress, and inspirational leader. She hopes to inspire others to chaseafter their passions too!  

Kameron Reynolds (Dream Experience Participant)

Kameron Reynolds is an 18-year-old student from Chicago. He attends AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) in Los Angeles and majors in dance. His overall goal in life is to become a professional entertainer, including, but not limited to, dancing for a professional company or as a background dancer for other artists. It would be a dream come true to dance with the one and only Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter. He has a special interest in learning how to act, direct, and edit films and possibly work on music videos, too. Once he completes his BFA in Dance, he would like to pursue a degree in political science with a minor in African American studies. With those degrees and knowledge, he plans to use the platform he will create in the entertainment industry to raise more awareness and fix the societal and systemic harms that are set up toward the black community.
