ERIKA R. MCCALL is an author, entrepreneur, and humanitarian. Her debut book, Go for Yours, has served as an engaging and informative resource for young people to create their definition of success.
By definition, “Go for Yours” is a compilation of stories about young people brave enough to follow their dreams. Erika applied her message in a technical sense when she decided to fly from Chicago to Los Angeles to volunteer for actor/author Hill Harper’s Manifest Your Destiny Foundation. Unbeknownst to her, this volunteer opportunity would change the direction of her life. Months after facilitating a Go for Yours workshop, she was offered a position by Hill Harper as the Assistant Director. She was promoted to Executive Director within one year.
She was featured in Forbes Magazine online after the Go for Yours Foundation sent over 500 youth to a private screening of Black Panther in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta.
Erika travels across the country to speak to the youth about
the importance of following their dreams. Her message has inspired young people from the United States all the way to the UK and beyond. As she continues to walk in her purpose, Erika is determined to use her experiences to serve as an example to the remarkable youth who believe success is beyond their reach. Erika has a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health Education from Illinois State University and a Master’s Degree in Adult & Higher Education from Northern Illinois University.
